Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This privacy policy explains what information ItemFlare collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
ItemFlare (itemflare.com) is an independent website that publishes product reviews and buying guides for kitchen appliances and home products. We are operated from Bangladesh. When this policy says "we", "us" or "our", it means ItemFlare.
By using this website, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need. It comes from two places: what you give us, and what your browser shares automatically.
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose, and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address when you subscribe.
- Comments: your name, email address, and the comment you write under a post. Your email address is not shown publicly. If you enter a website address, it may be shown with your comment.
- Emails: anything you send directly to our email address.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages you view, time spent on a page, the page you came from, and your approximate location (city or country level). We collect this through Google Analytics.
- Device and technical data: your IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system. Our web host and WordPress may also record this in server logs and with comments.
- Affiliate clicks: if you click an affiliate link to Amazon, Amazon may recognize that the click came from our site. See Amazon and affiliate links.
We do not ask for payment details, and we do not sell products on this site, so we never collect card numbers.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your messages and questions.
- To send our newsletter, only if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To show and moderate comments on our posts.
- To understand which pages are useful and to improve our reviews and the site's speed and design.
- To keep the site secure and to reduce spam.
- To meet legal and program requirements, such as those of the Amazon Associates program.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
4. Amazon and affiliate links
Some links on this site may be affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Some links on our site go to Amazon.com. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes the price you pay, and it does not decide which products we recommend.
When you click an Amazon link, Amazon may place cookies on your device and collect information about your visit, as described in Amazon's Privacy Notice. We do not receive your Amazon account details or purchase information that identifies you. Read more on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
5. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our service providers use them in three ways:
- Essential and functional: WordPress may set cookies to remember your name and email in the comment form so you do not need to retype them.
- Analytics: Google Analytics uses cookies to count visitors and show us how the site is used, in aggregate.
- Affiliate: Amazon may use cookies after you click one of its links, to credit a purchase to our site.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as remembering your comment details, may then work less smoothly.
- To stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- You can learn how Google handles data from sites that use its services on this Google page.
6. Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted services to run the site. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics and Google Search Console: website statistics and search performance. Google Privacy Policy.
- MailerLite: sends our newsletter and stores subscriber emails. MailerLite Privacy Policy.
- Formspree: receives and delivers messages sent through our contact form. Formspree Privacy Policy.
- Amazon: the store we link to and the affiliate program described above. Amazon Privacy Notice.
- Our web host and WordPress: store the site's files, comments, and server logs.
These providers process information on our behalf or under their own terms. We do not give them more than they need to do their job.
7. How long we keep your information
- Contact messages: for as long as needed to reply and keep a record of the conversation. We delete them on request.
- Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Comments: until you ask us to remove them or we delete them.
- Analytics data: according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you,
- correct information that is wrong,
- delete your information, including comments and newsletter emails,
- stop using your information for a purpose you object to.
To make a request, email us at admin@itemflare.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we do not hand your information to the wrong person. We aim to reply within 45 days.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request that we delete or correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. You will not be treated unfairly for using these rights.
In the past 12 months, the categories of personal information we have collected are identifiers (such as name, email address and IP address) and internet activity (such as pages viewed). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can send a request using the email address above.
9. Children's privacy
ItemFlare is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other sites
Our reviews link to stores and other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
11. Security and international transfers
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or internet transmission is completely secure. Our service providers may store and process data in other countries, including the United States, where privacy laws can differ from those where you live.
12. Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this privacy policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Please check back from time to time.
